Why are there only 4 courses in the State-Specific tab in the F3 library?
Some states require EMS professionals to complete specific courses each renewal period. For example, California requires students to complete training on Epinephrine, Naloxone, and Glucometers. These specific courses required by some states are listed in the State Specific tab of our F3 course library. This tab does not reflect your unique renewal requirements established by the NREMT or your state. This tab does not reflect courses based on your location or the state listed on your My Account page. All users with F3 course access are able to take these courses.
We offer the following state-specific courses:
Oregon- Culture, Race, Gender and Ethnicity
California- Epinephrine, Naloxone, and Glucometers
Texas- Texas Jurisprudence Course & Exam
Illinois- Alzheimer's and Dementia
The NREMT renewal requirements include 10/12.5/15 hours in the state/local component. These requirements are established by your state/agency. If your state does not require a specific course and there are no additional requirements from your agency, you can use any 10/12.5/15 F3 course hours to fulfill this component.
If you are renewing a state license in OR, CA, TX, or IL, you will need to take the pertaining course, and complete your remaining hours with other F3 courses.
