How Do I Know Which Courses Count Toward My Renewal?

The courses that count toward your renewal depend on a few factors. First, you need to know what you are renewing: your NREMT certification, your state license, or both. If you are renewing your state license, you will also need to know which state you are renewing in, as requirements vary state to state.

The NREMT provides a detailed explanation of the CE hours required based on your certification level.

If you are renewing your state license, your state will generally fall into one of these categories:

  • You are required to maintain your NREMT certification.

  • You are required to follow a state-specific CE requirement outline.

  • You have more than one option to renew your state license. In some states, renewing your NREMT is optional, and you may be able to follow a state-specific CE requirement instead.

See your state's requirements for more information.

Our Full Recertification memberships include F5 courses that align exactly with the NREMT's National Component for your certification level, while also providing unlimited access to our F3 course library.

If you're unsure which membership is right for you, complete the product recommender questionnaire.

If your state does not require you to maintain your National Registry, you still have the option to keep it current. Most of our customers choose to maintain their National Registry whether their state requires it or not. By doing so, they have often already met their state's CE requirements or are well on their way to completing them.
